Once you create the template sheet, you can customize it to display your company logo, text, images, and fields for specific company information. Use the tools in the Templates task or other modify tools from the Tools menu to add the graphics and text to the template.

You can add graphics to the template either by a copy/paste operation or by attaching a raster. Copy/paste puts the image directly in the template and in any markups created with that template. This method takes more disk space and there are multiple copies of the image. However, you do not need to keep the original file with the overlay file. When you attach a raster, the image is referenced in the template. This method takes less disk space but you need to keep the original image file along with the overlay file.

The area in the template where the markup displays is called the Markup Content Area. Since this is an element type, you can move, copy, scale, and mirror the Markup Content Area.
